How it works

What is a health account?

A tax-smart way for an incorporated business to pay its team back for health and dental costs.

A health account lets an incorporated business reimburse eligible health and dental costs for its team as a benefit, using pre-tax dollars. Crucially, it is funded with the employer's own money — there's no pool your money disappears into.

Because it works with the employer's own funds, a health account is one of the lowest-risk places to start: nothing is bought or sold from an insurer.
